Almond butter on celery with raisins
Carrot chips and hummus
Goat milk yogurt and blueberries
Spaghetti squash with meat sauce
Sugar-snap peas (from our garden!)
Coconut cream larabars
Larabars: These grain-free, refined sugar free bars are our substitute for granola bars. Noah enjoys them as snacks or desserts. Larabars are sold individually or in boxes at most grocery stores or on Amazon. They are often found near the health food bars, rather than by regular granola bars. They contain dates, nuts, and a flavor (blueberries, chocolate chips, coconut, peanuts, etc.). That’s it! My goal price is $1 each or less. Target usually sells boxes of 5 for $5. There are lots of recipes online for homemade Larabars. I make them to save money, but they do not hold up as well for travel as the store-bought ones.
Spaghetti squash with meat sauce: We use spaghetti squash as our grain-free pasta. Tonight I put it in silicone cupcake liners to add some variety. I discovered that the kids are not picky about what form of pasta I give them as long as it has a good sauce on top.
